Enjoy the Drawing Room Chamber Series, Jazz in March, Lucky Lemonade courtyard concerts, Fridays on Prouty summer series, Troy, Ohio PorchFest and a rich variety of in-house and community offerings throughout the year. Cardinal Cabaret: A Songwriters Series
with Host Shannon Clark

The Cardinal Cabaret is the love project of Greenville singer/songwriter Shannon Clark. Clark began the Cardinal Cabaret concept in Greenville, Ohio in 2018 as a way of showcasing and supporting the talents of our regional musicians. “There are just so many talented musicians around here. These folks are creating the next generation in the sound of rock, pop and country music, he says.”
Hayner’s second Cardinal Cabaret event will take place on August 28, 2025 at 6:30 pm. Shannon will also take the stage that night. He has a line-up of five other artists including his pal from Greenville, Joe Howard and Troy singer/songwriter James Swartz. Also in the line-up are three Northern Kentucky artists who have something to say.
Daniel Cain’s songs mirror his Appalachian roots and values. He blends outlaw country, grassy folk and roots-rock for his unique sound. Lance Rogers sings his soul with what he calls the blending of “hometown flavor with creative mysticism.” John Thomas Moore is a young, 22-year-old singer who found his start singing in church. His Americana-rock-and-roll has been described as, “Waylon Jennings in a Buddy Holly body.”
There will be no cover charge and no reservations for this event. This event and all Hayner events are possible due to the generosity of the citizens of Troy and The Friends of the Hayner.
