Live Music at the
Troy-Hayner Cultural Center
For more than fifty years, the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center has brought people together through the power of live music. Whether it's an intimate chamber performance inside the historic mansion, an outdoor courtyard concert, or a neighborhood filled with music during Troy PorchFest, every performance is an invitation to slow down, gather with friends and experience something memorable.
Our music programming celebrates a remarkable variety of genres, from classical and jazz to blues, folk, rock, Americana, brass ensembles, singer-songwriters and everything in between. Most concerts are free and open to the public, thanks to the support of the citizens of Troy, the Friends of Hayner and our generous community sponsors.

Our Concert Series
The Hayner Center is proud to present a variety of recurring concert series throughout the year, each offering its own unique atmosphere and musical style.
Fridays on Prouty
Summer in downtown Troy wouldn't be complete without Fridays on Prouty. Presented in partnership with The Troy Foundation, this beloved outdoor series transforms Prouty Plaza into a gathering place for live music, local restaurants and community connection.
Each season features an eclectic lineup that may include classic rock, blues, Americana, soul, jazz, tribute bands and original artists. Bring a lawn chair, meet friends downtown and enjoy one of Troy's favorite summer traditions.
Lucky Lemonade Concerts
For many years, Lucky Lemonade has been synonymous with summer at the Hayner Center.
Held Tuesday evenings in July, these courtyard concerts offer a relaxed atmosphere where families, neighbors and music lovers gather beneath the magnolia tree to enjoy outstanding live performances. Every concert features a different style of music, making each week a new experience while preserving the welcoming spirit that has made the series a longtime community favorite.
Drawing Room Chamber Concerts
There are few places in the Miami Valley where you can experience professional chamber music in such an intimate setting.
Held in the elegant East Room of the historic Hayner Mansion, the Drawing Room Chamber Concert Series welcomes exceptional musicians from across the region to perform just a few feet from the audience. The setting creates a listening experience unlike a traditional concert hall, allowing every nuance of the music to shine.
Jazz in March
Each March, the Hayner Center celebrates one of America's greatest musical traditions.
Curated and hosted by acclaimed pianist and educator Keigo Hirakawa, Jazz in March showcases exceptional jazz musicians in the intimate setting of the Hayner Mansion. Each evening begins with a conversation with the featured artists before the performance, giving audiences a chance to learn about the musicians, their influences and the music they'll hear.
From modern jazz to timeless standards, Jazz in March offers an unforgettable evening for devoted jazz fans and newcomers alike.
Cardinal Cabaret
Hosted by acclaimed Ohio singer-songwriter Shannon Clark, Cardinal Cabaret is an intimate listening-room series celebrating the art of songwriting. Each performance features a carefully curated lineup of regional artists sharing original music, personal stories and unforgettable live performances.
Whether you're discovering a new favorite musician or following a familiar artist, Cardinal Cabaret offers a unique opportunity to experience exceptional songwriting in the welcoming atmosphere of the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center.
Troy PorchFest
One of the Hayner Center's signature events, Troy PorchFest transforms Troy's historic Southwest neighborhood into a one-day, walkable music festival each September. Dozens of bands perform on neighborhood porches while thousands of visitors stroll from house to house enjoying live music, local food, artisans and the unique spirit of the community.
