A Special "America 250" Celebration

The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center invites you to a beloved Troy tradition—Mrs. Hayner’s Birthday Tea. This year, we celebrate Mary Jane’s birthday with a patriotic flourish in honor of America’s 250th Anniversary.

The Afternoon Flow

Upon arrival, you will be greeted and shown to your seat. We invite you to the Hayner Ballroom for a special themed musical program featuring Hayner Center Director David Wion. Following the performance, guests will return to their tables for a formal tea service throughout the mansion.

GET GUSSIED UP (optional)

Mary Jane Hayner famously loved a good hat, and many of our guests choose to honor that tradition by wearing their favorite headwear or "Sunday best." In the spirit of the nation’s 250th birthday, attire from any era—from 1776 to today—is welcome, though certainly not required. Come as you are to celebrate!
