Formerly the home of Mary Jane Hayner, the 1914 Romanesque mansion houses a lively community arts center. Classes in art and a variety of other subjects are offered for adults and children. Year-round art and local history exhibits are offered free of charge in the Fulker-Nichols Gallery and halls. Enjoy a wide variety of free musical concerts in the Ballroom, the Eastroom, Courtyard and Prouty Plaza. Make the Hayner part of your family traditions with holiday and special events throughout the year. Plan a visit to discover historic furnishings, works of art, a Victorian doll house and a permanent exhibition of the historic Pre-Prohibition Hayner Distillery Company. The facilities of the center are available for public use for meetings, parties and community events. There is no admission fee to visit the center or its exhibits and most musical and family events are free and open to the public.
