Holiday and Winter Card-Making Workshop

Students will make five unique and special cards perfect for Christmas and those cold winter days. Supplies, including card stock, patterned paper, die-cut shapes, ribbons, gemstones, stamps, and other embellishments are included in the fee.         

Age: Adult                 

Fee: $18 per 2-hour session

After retiring from public school teaching a few years ago, Jan began taking paper crafting and card-making classes from various teachers in the area. She has taught several different card-making classes at the Hayner in the past few years.

Let’s make some fun jewelry for the upcoming holidays. In this class, we will be making earrings for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. No prior experience needed. Students will learn basic jewelry making skills. Students will make 3 pairs of earrings during this class. Supplies included in the fee. *Students must register at least one week prior to start of class.  

Age: 16 - Adult                    

Fee: $30 per 2-hour class

​Connie Galey is an award winning photographer who also enjoys fine art
crafting, especially creating these simple, yet elegant, wearable bracelets. She
began making jewelry as a result of classes that she took at the Hayner Center several years ago. Connie also appreciates the versatility and ease of use of alcohol ink as an artistic medium.

Barbara Deschapelles has lived in Troy for over 40 years, and worked in the computing and Information Technology sector most of that time. She and her husband have two grown children and two grandchildren. Barb has been making Ukrainian style eggs for better than 25 years, but continues to learn new and different techniques. The interest in these eggs started at home when she was a child, and her family displayed several eggs each Easter. She has taught this class for a number of years.
