Who should I speak to about booking the Hayner?

Can I visit the house to see the rooms?
Yes! You are always welcome to visit the house during open house as long as it has not been booked for a private event. There is no admission fee to visit the house and the exhibits. If you call ahead you can arrange a time with the Assistant Director so that you can see the rooms while they are not booked for another party. Are you handicapped accessible?
Yes, there is a chairlift at the west entrance into the house and an elevator for access to the second and third floors.
Who will set tables and chairs?
Our maintenance staff will set the tables and chairs in the house and courtyard.
Is there staff on-site during my event?
Yes, a receptionist will be on duty to open and then secure the building, offer directions to your guests and to help answer any questions you may have.
Where can we park?
Our visitor parking lot is located on Water Street directly behind the center. If you visit before 5:00 pm take care to notice the two-hour parking spaces available on Main and Oxford Streets. Unlimited, street parking is available on Monroe and Water Streets and one block south on Franklin Street. Car pooling is recommended for large groups.
What items are available for use?
TV/VCR/DVD, lecturns, and other A/V equipment may be available without a fee. LCD digital projectors, box mixer with speakers and microphones, both wireless handheld and lapel style, are available at a cost, please inquire.
How many guests can you accommodate?
Our facility can accommodate groups from two to 75 (depending on room arrangements) and receptions up to 150 people. Several rooms are ideal for small meetings.
Are kitchen facilities available at Hayner?
Yes, kitchen facilities and a list of caterers are available, please inquire.
