Intro to Music for Seniors

Ever wish you wouldn’t have quit those music lessons you took as a kid? Never had a lesson? Sign up for a beginner general music class taught by Krissy O’Malley, founder and owner of Senior Music Connection. You will have the opportunity to learn some basic music theory and even play a simple song on an instrument upon completion of the class! This five-week course includes an instruction booklet to keep and instruments to borrow (keyboard or xylophone) during the sessions. Regular attendance is encouraged.

Krissy O'Malley is the founder and owner of Senior Music Connection, a company whose mission is to enrich the lives of seniors by providing engaging and fulfilling musical experiences to older adults. She currently assists over 30 area senior living facilities with their music programming, whether it's leading interactive music programs or booking their entertainment. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Wright State University and has studied music therapy at both the University of Dayton and St. Mary of the Woods College. She has enjoyed teaching piano and voice lessons in the past, and currently serves as the pianist and choir director at Nashville United Church of Christ in West Milton.
