Formerly the home of Mary Jane Hayner, the 1914 Romanesque mansion houses a lively community arts center. Classes in art and a variety of other subjects are offered for children and adults. Eight fine art or historic exhibits are presented annually. At least fifteen concerts are held each year including a chamber series throughout the school year, the annual Jazz In March concert, the Lucky Lemonade courtyard series and a host of special music events. Antiques seminars, workshops, special events, holiday events and family activities are among the many programs offered free and open to the public. Visiting the Center is encouraged, Its Your House. You will find historic furnishings and works of art, a Victorian doll house, and a permanent exhibition about the Hayner Distillery Company. The facilities of the Center are available for public use for meetings, parties and community events. There is no admission fee to visit the Center or its exhibits and most musical and family events are free and open to the public.
The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is supported by the tax payers of Troy and the generous donations of the Friends of Hayner. The mission is to preserve and maintain the Hayner mansion as a cultural resource center for the present and as an historical legacy for the future generations of the community of Troy, Ohio.
