Formerly the home of Mary Jane Hayner, the 1914 Romanesque mansion houses a lively community arts center. Classes in art and a variety of other subjects are offered for children and adults. Eight fine art or historic exhibits are presented annually. At least fifteen concerts are held each year including a chamber series throughout the school year, an annual jazz in March, a courtyard series with regional musicians and a Rhythm and Roots festival biennially. Antiques seminars, workshops, special events and family activities are among the many programs offered free and open to the public. The Center houses historic furnishings and works of art, a Victorian doll house, and a permanent exhibition about the Hayner Distillery Company. The facilities of the Center are available for public use. There is no admission fee to visit the Center or its exhibits and most musical and family events are free and open to the public.
