50th Anniversary

Commemorative Book:

Community Story Submission

Deadline to Submit Stories: March 31, 2026 Admission: Your Memories (Free to Share!)

We are creating a special, commemorative coffee table book to celebrate the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center's five decades in Troy. This book will feature the personal memories, stories, and photographs shared by our community. We genuinely want your most cherished memory of a class, concert, or special milestone here, so your experience can be preserved in print for the next fifty years.

This beautiful, full-color commemorative book is being created to celebrate the generations of families, friendships, and artistic moments that have brought this elegant mansion to life over the last five decades. We believe the Hayner Center's true history is told through the voices of the people who love it.

The final deadline to submit your story or photo is March 31, 2026.

This project is made possible through the support of the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center and the enthusiastic participation of the citizens of Troy.

Mountain Dulcimer Society of Dayton Concert

With Mandy Tyner

Friday, January 16, 2026 • 7:30 pm

Free Admission

The Mountain Dulcimer Society of Dayton is dedicated to preserving and sharing the music of the Appalachian mountain dulcimer. Formed in 1984, the group includes musicians from across the Miami Valley who come together to play traditional folk tunes, Celtic melodies, gospel songs, and contemporary favorites — all with the distinctive, sweet sound of the dulcimer. Concert-goers will hear both solo features and ensemble arrangements that highlight the versatility of this historic instrument.

Hayner will host the Mountain Dulcimer Society of Dayton on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 7:30 pm in the Ballroom. Admission is free, and no reservations are required.

The MDSD will host a dulcimer workshop with Mandy Tyner on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Learn more about this workshop at www.DaytonDulcimers.org .

This event and all Hayner concerts are made possible through the generosity of the citizens of Troy and the Friends of Hayner.
