An informal class where, intermediate to advanced, award winning students benefit from not only Donna’s expertise and experience, but knowledge is also shared among all members in this ever expanding, dynamic and fun group! Occasionally, an informative video by various professional artists is shared with the group. Students work at their own pace and supply their own choice of materials. There is no supply list for this class. All water-media is welcome: watercolor, gouache, acrylics, and/or water-miscible oils. Come join us. We do have fun! Pay only for the days that work with your busy schedule.                                                                                                                                     Just DROP IN on any of the currently scheduled class dates (good for up to 7 visits).
 CARD FEE (two choices)
      $100 – You provide your own paints. 
      $150 – Includes paints from the instructor. 
 PROCESS
  1. Register and pay for your card at your first visit to class.
  2. Upon showing your receipt for your card, Donna will give you a card good for 7 visits.
  3. When your card is fully punched, you can purchase a new card for 7 more studio visits. ​                                                                                                               Note: The card expires 6 months from the date of purchase. If you lose your card, a record is kept on file of your visits. ​

Donna Pierce-Clark & her Award Winning Paintings
Donna Pierce-Clark’s first encounter with the wet-into-wet method (wet chalk on wet construction paper) occurred at age 8, then inks and watercolors, at age 16. Upon graduation from Wright State University, she began teaching Secondary Art.   Personal growth as an artist, led her to study watercolor, oil & acrylic painting through workshops under internationally known artists. Much like the wet-into-wet watercolor technique, she also paints Alla Prima oils.  A member of Dailypaintworks.com, Donna paints daily small works, updates her website, and sends out a weekly blog and Newsletter.  As well as painting professionally, and teaching private students; she also teaches classes in watercolors and oils, at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, in Troy, Ohio.

Portrait & Figure Study Group

This is a chance to try drawing the figure using a live model (clothed). There is no instruction for this class. Just bring your favorite medium whether it is pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, colored pencil or acrylic. The fee for the class is for the model. Due to social distancing precautions, Portrait & Figure Study Group is not currently accepting new students.

After retiring from teaching art for 30 years at a local high school, Shirley Harbaugh is currently an adjunct professor at Sinclair Community College. The areas of art she is currently working in are watercolor, pastels and oil.
