So you are interested
in being a
2023 Troy, Ohio PorchFest

Musician?
September 9, 2023

If you would like to be a 2023 musician, fill out the form below. Your application will be submitted to our concert hosts along with other musicians that are attracted to your genre. As soon as we can match you with a host we will connect with you.

You don't need to live in the Southwest Historic Neighborhood to perform at the Troy, Ohio PorchFest. We can help, there are places and porches that need musicians! The PorchFest committee will receive your application form and work to match you with a porch. We can't promise that everyone will get a spot but we are happy that you want to play in Troy and will do our best. We will get back with you as soon as we can. We hope to have a porch approved for you within a month or so. We hope to have all the final decisions made before the end of August 2023. Early applicants have a natural priority.

Tip buckets will be provided at each porch. We were pleased to hear that many of our musicians were happy with their community donations. The Hayner has made a commitment to provide $200 to each band that is matched with concert hosts to make our 40 bands on 40 porches.

I want to be a Troy, Ohio PorchFest Musician

It's ok, we know this is often a difficult thing to answer. If you leave this blank we will call you to talk about it.
We will talk more about this but briefly explain if you will need amplification.
Our concert hosts can learn a lot about you by reviewing a video of you playing music. It is not unusual for a concert host to choose a band they have never heard after viewing videos. Videos can be of you and your guitar in your living room or of your band playing live. Even a link to audio will help so much. Highly polished professional videos are not necessary and may not show best what you might actually do for your PorchFest concert. What the hosts want to know is what your music sounds like. Please provide links below to whatever best represents your sound even if the band may look a bit different.
Potential Sponsorship Opportunity: the Troy, Ohio PorchFest Sponsorship committee is committed to obtaining sponsors in support of our valued musicians. Can you recommend a business or group that might be interested in supporting your concert? Please do not feel any obligation to make recommendations. Our Sponsorship Committee is hard at work helping to support your concert and live music in Troy, Ohio.
Indemnity: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Representative (you, on  behalf of your band, and/or subcontractors) agrees to save harmless and defend the indemnified parties (Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, Hayner’s employees and volunteers, The Troy City School System, the homeowner providing a venue for you, the homeowner's family and concert helpers), from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, fines, causes of action suits and liability of every kind including court costs and attorneys’ fees for injury to or death of any person for damage to any property, for loss of business, for consequential damages and all other damages (collectively, “damages”) arising out of or in connection with this event.
