Debora Cook (aka Ahmed)

Debora Cook has a B.F.A. from The Maryland Institute College of Art, and is now retired from full-time Art Education (Springboro High School). She is currently active in freelance art production, Living History events, and teaching various fine arts/crafts classes on a part-time basis.
Debora has been a summer Artist-In-Resident for nine summers for the residential environmental education center at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont.  She enjoys doing her own drawing/painting while working with various groups of "campers" who come to the summer programs. Her job is to combine the visual arts with environmental issues, make a "Creative Corner" for some of the groups.  
 “I get to enjoy the great outdoors while working with a great staff of environmentalists, and sharing the arts with all concerned.”

  The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is supported by the taxpayers of Troy and the generous donations of the Friends of Hayner. The mission is to preserve and maintain the Hayner mansion as a cultural resource center for the present and as a historical legacy for the future generations of the community of Troy, Ohio.
