So you are interested in Hosting a Musician for Troy, Ohio PorchFest?
You don't need to have a friend who is a musician to be part of the PorchFest. We can help, there are musicians that need porches! The PorchFest committee will receive your application form and act as curator of the event. We are hoping for 20 porches in the first phase of our planning. We can't promise that everyone will get a spot but we are happy that you want to participate in this event and we will do our best. Fees for the musicians will be in the form of a bucket donation at each porch, but we encourage you to be gracious with the musicians and make sure they have water and bathroom facilities and a comfortable place to rest while they are waiting to perform. We will ask you to review a potential musician/band and provide approval before the final match is done. A musician or band won't be invited to your porch until you provide your approval. Musicians will not know who is reviewing them. We will send you a confirmation that we have received your application within 24 working hours but the final decisions may not be completed before the end of August 2019. It is not necessary to have a porch to be a host. You could host a band in a side yard or anyplace that is safe for folks to stand around and listen to music.
