Summer Offerings
Preschool Fairy Camp
Utilizing The Fairy Houses Series by award-winning author, Tracy Kane, the children will be encouraged to explore their creativity and allow their imaginations to take flight as they create fairy houses, beribboned crowns, glittery wands, and magical wishing boxes. Fairy yoga, dancing and singing will be included in the daily activities. The last day of this mini-workshop will end with a small reception for parents and families to view our gallery of whimsical fairy houses and photographs documenting the children’s learning.

We are motivated to bring inspiration and introspection to others by teaching them to honor the process of creating art. We’ve found that creating art can have a healing effect upon the soul and can even lead to startling moments of self-discovery and spiritual enlightenment. “Beyond the Box” encompasses taking some of our favorite photos related to a specific event or person and through artistic alteration, collage work, and journaling, creating a piece of interactive art that delves beyond the face value of the images and the work itself. The result is a collage box, which when opened, reveals a string of altered photos, favorite quotes, images and other whimsical pieces attached to the lid. Please see example photos of completed boxes on Hayner’s website - www.troyhayner.org. All supplies will be provided with the exception of three to four copies of students’ favorite photos which should be brought to class. Please make sure they are copies as we will be altering these with paint, glitter, etc.
