Exploring Art for Preschoolers
A parent participation class. Have fun while exploring the creativity of your child. Preschoolers will enjoy a variety of hands-on art projects geared toward younger children. We will be working with a large variety of kid-friendly objects. Come dressed for mess!

The Art in Recycling Workshop for Kids
Children will learn about the importance of recycling while learning how to take recyclable items and turn them into art and craft projects. We will make recyclable paper with plant seeds inside then we will make special vases/planters using glass jars. Parents are welcome to stay.

Youth Drawing and Painting
Back by popular demand, with a twist! This class will focus on building drawing and painting skills. Each student will get a choice of drawing or painting media for each project. We’ll be using acrylic paints, watercolors, charcoal, graphite, inks, colored pencils, and pastels to create realistic artwork. This class is designed to help boost experience and skill with more mature techniques than typically offered by schools. We’ll learn the basics of perspective, depth, measurement, application of media, and real-life observation through exciting art projects. All skill levels are welcome!

Splash Art Workshop for Kids
Back by popular demand! This class offers exciting and messy art projects that kids will love, and the best part is that parents won’t have to clean up any of the mess! Youth Painting Workshop
Do you know a kid who loves to paint? Then sign him/her up for this painting class. We’ll focus on building painting skills through the use of a variety of painting media including, acrylic, tempura, and watercolor paints. Each student will produce realistic artwork, and enhance their understanding for shading, blending, paint mixing, and brush strokes. All skill levels are welcome!

Fun Fashion Workshop
This workshop will provide some tips and techniques how to make some of the hot trends. We will then have an option to make our own glitter shoes or clutch. Students needs to bring either a pair of shoes (not your good pair) or a clutch. If you bring a pair of shoes they should be either canvas or high heel (non-shiny kind; something glue can stick to). If you bring a clutch then it should be fabric that glue can stick on to. You should also bring some fabric jewels that you want to use.

Mother’s Day Bouquet Workshop
This is a two hour workshop in which you will make an easy heart-shaped bouquet for someone special for Mother’s Day along with learning some other ideas, tips, and techniques for floral design. Students need to bring a square basket or square container no smaller than 10 inches wide and no larger than 12 inches and about 4 ½ inches to 5 inches deep. If you bring a basket, make sure it has a square plastic container to fit inside so the water doesn’t leak out. Also bring a knife or scissors to cut flowers and floral foam for fresh flowers (enough to fill your container).

Beginning Drawing 2
This class is for students who attended the fall beginning drawing class or have previous drawing experience. Students will continue to work with line, shading, and gestural techniques. We will learn about drawing people, still life, and perspective.

Sculpture Experience for Beginners

Portrait and Figure Open Studio
Do you like to paint portraits or do figure studies? Every week there will be a different model (clothed.) Whether you work in pastels, watercolors, acrylics, charcoal or another medium, come and enjoy the challenge of representing the figure. This class will not have an instructor. Just come and work from the model. The fee will cover the charge for the model.

Watermedia Open Studio
This is not a formal class, but Donna is here to help and make suggestions regarding composition, colors, etc. Each student works at their own pace, in the watermedia of their own choice: acrylic, watercolor, gouache, and/or water-miscible oils. Explosion Box Papercrafting

Intermediate Crochet
This intermediate class teaches how to read patterns. Students should bring pattern, yarn, books, and some regular worsted yarn for practice. The first two weeks of classes will be held in conjunction with the beginning class, but everyone will be working on their own projects.

Beading on Leather (Amulet Bag)
Learn the meditative practice of bead on leather. In this class you will learn how to use your hand as the template to create a beaded medicine or amulet bag. Medicine/amulet bags are common to all cultures on every continent and are as important today as a means of healing, as any time in history. In this class you will also learn how to select an amulet or items to enhance your personal spirituality, awareness and ability to heal yourself. Supplies included.
