Learn the basics of eBay to get you started buying and selling.
Buying covers... how to find items, how to bid on them, and how to pay for them. Want to sell? Learn how to list an item, value pricing, who pays for shipping, and how to complete the deal.

Introduction to Digital Photography and Your Computer
Get a feel for fun and easy ways to use your computer with your photographs. Learn about different ways to get your pictures into the computer. See how to download photos from a digital camera into the computer. See how easy it is to make improvements that can be made to photo quality such as lightening dark pictures and fixing scratches. See examples of fun things to do with photos on the PC and learn ways to share your photos once they are in your computer. Everyone will get a chance to try some of these techniques to see how easy they are.

Viruses, Hackers and Worms Oh My!
Staying Safe on the Internet for Beginners and Novices

With all of the scary news about spam, viruses, worms, hackers, and ID theft - can you use the internet in a safe way? Yes - even beginners can do it! Learn easy ways to be safe while enjoying the benefits of e-mail & the web. Learn about SPAM. Is it dangerous? Learn why you get those embarrassing e-mails - “Why are they sending me that?” Learn how to spot a scam online & what to do if you fall for one, how to avoid viruses, and how to safeguard your ID while online. Learn about antivirus, firewalls, pop-up blockers and other software - “What do they do? Do I need them?” This class is great even if you are completely non-technical. Your questions will be answered in everyday language.

Computer for Complete Beginners
Students will understand the basics of computers after this class – even if you are completely non-technical. Your questions will be answered in everyday language. Plus you’ll get to see what fun things even a beginner can do on a basic computer! You’ll learn what each part of the PC is, how to turn it on and off, use the mouse, load a program, do’s and don’ts, and more! You also receive a handout for take-home instruction.

Files & Folders - How to Save, Store, Move & Retrieve Files on your Computer
Many people have learned to use a program to write a letter or download photos from their camera but now what? After you save a file – how do you ever find it again? How do you know it is saved? Where is it? How do you make a backup copy? Learn how to save files, search for files, copy and paste files, name and rename a file, and attach a file to email.
Prerequisite – you should know how to use a mouse before taking this class.

Fix Your Digital Photos for Beginners
Now that you’ve taken photos … How do you improve them? Brighten them? Crop them? Fix Red-Eye? Using inexpensive image editing software, you’ll learn how to: Remove red-eye from photos, resize and crop your images, add text and other graphics, delete parts of the image, use tonal controls to change the brightness and contrast, do simple repairs to remove scratches and discolorations.

Register early! Classes that don't reach minimum requirements may be
canceled. You may register for classes with a staff member by telephone at
(937) 339-0457. The registration form can be faxed to 335-6373 or send
registration information by e-mail to troyhaynercenter@troyhayner.org.
(You may also register online, but payment must be received by mail
in order to officially register you for the course.)

Payment must be received to guarantee spot in class. Payment is due one week
prior to the first class meeting. Your payment is your guarantee to hold a
spot in a class. Payment can be made by check or money order made payable in
the instructor's name or cash. Partial financial assistance is available for
children's classes. Please call to receive a Keller Memorial Fund form.
